Today the Developers at Visceral Games Battlefield Hardline announced why the game is a full game rather then just an expansion to Battlefield 4 multiplayer. The reasons behind this was to address critics that have called the new game by EA a “waste and that it should be only added to Battlefield 4’s already solid multiplayer “. In response to this lead multiplayer designer for Battlefield Hardline multiplayer, Thad Sesser talked about the improvements and additions that battlefield 4 already has and are still to come, but how Hardline will be a totally different experience that improves on the lessons learned from Battlefield 4. Sesser also spoke about how the physics of the game where being made to be more realistic then Battlefield 4 and how they are making the Frostbite 3 engine to work harder in order to bring a more realistic feel to the game, Sesser was quoted as saying ” We improved the vehicle physics and so on because, in a cops and criminals setting, vehicle collisions are way more important than in Battlefield” mean that in the civilian world police cars and get away cars are more fragile to each other and the environment rather then the military vehicle’s that are tougher and more armored to take on any threats present in the game. The gadgets and weapons that will be available in the game are being improved as well for the new Battlefield such as grappling hooks to make navigating through the environment much easier.
